The “Stolpersteine” (stumbling stones)
The “Stolpersteine” project by artist Gunter Demnig commemorates the victims of deportation during National Socialism throughout Europe. The first laying in Aschaffenburg took place in 2008, since then more than 100 stones have been added in the inner city.
